One of my kids’ favorite camps this summer. They’ve been to other horse camps where they spent a total of 20 minutes riding a horse in a circle and the rest of the time watching movies or swimming. Not at Ellenwood, no sir! They curried the horses, mucked stalls, tacked their own horses and learned how to ride. They came home every day happy, sweaty and tired! They don’t ride all day because, hello, it’s summer, hot and the horses need a break! But the kids swim and play outside and that’s the best recipe for a healthy, happy summer camp if you ask me.
